What We Do

At the Meghan B. Merkert Foundation we focus on supporting local families and students with tools, opportunities, and resources that make a difference. Here's how we bring this to life:

Scholarships & Grants — We provide financial support to students from our community who show promise and drive, but may face barriers to accessing top-tier learning opportunities.
Family & Community Engagement — Education doesn’t happen in a vacuum. We work alongside parents, guardians and local organizations to build networks of support, to help families feel equipped, connected, and confident.
Legacy & Reflection — This foundation is more than grants; it’s a reflection of Meghan’s life. We infuse every initiative with the values she modeled: joy, curiosity, kindness, generosity, and above all, the belief that no one travels alone.

Year 1 Results

Thanks to generous donors, sponsors and participants, we raised and donated over $10,000.00.

We were able to start a scholarship in Meghan’s name through GB Charities as well as help a family in need at Saint Joseph’s in Cockeysville.

Year 2 and Beyond

We plan on hosting 2 separate events, Pickle and Paddle in the winter and spring each year to get together and remember Meghan for a good cause.
